I love hearing how people first found out about Dianetics, and what they got out of it. Here's an article from a dentist who uses Dianetics in his practice and even opened a Dianetics center in his home town:
How to Meet Your Own Expectations
by Dr. David Cutts, DDS
I was already a pretty successful dentist when I found out about Dianetics. Being a successful dentist was not enough for me, however: I wanted the world. Have my cake and eat it! I dreamt not only of being very successful in my career, but also of having a happy family life (I have four teenage daughters) and making a difference to the people of my community.
To give you a little background on Dianetics: Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health was written in 1950 by L. Ron Hubbard. It was an immediate hit and many groups opened up using the technology of Dianetics. It is now used in more than 150 nations and Dianetics the book is the all-time self-help bestseller, with over 20 million copies sold.
If you've ever felt there was something holding you back in life, ruining your plans and stopping you from being who you want to be, you were right. After many years of research, L. Ron Hubbard discovered that there is a single source to all your problems, stress, unhappiness and self-doubt. It's called the reactive mind. It's the hidden part of your mind that stores painful experiences and uses them against you. This phenomena is explained exactly in the book. Dianetics gets rid of the reactive mind and the book gives the precise technology of how to.
Dianetics did help me fulfill my goals. I now have the practice I have always dreamt of; Dianetics definitely helped me build the marriage I have now and my teenagers are flourishing. I have been able to help the nearby Nuevo community with their children's dental needs; I sponsor youth sports and run the Good Sportsmanship contest and I run the local Temecula Dianetics Center. And there are hundreds of thousands of business people like myself who have benefited from using Dianetics.
