Bringing Scientology to the World

Bringing Scientology to the World

Since the release of the Dianetics and Scientology Basic Books and Lectures in 2007, Scientologists have flooded into their Churches in greater numbers than ever. Demand for the materials has grown exponentially and, as parishioners have progressed through those books and lecdtures, the numbers of new people coming in to find out about Scientology have likewise grown. Indeed, the Scientology religion is now enjoying its greatest expansion era in history, with public demand for L. Ron Hubbard books and lectures escalating across more than 200 nations, 150 cultures and in some 50 languages.

Nice new blog--Life Made Easier

Found
found a really nice new (for me) blog tonight. Thought I'd share some of the guy's thoughts:

Help

The other day someone asked me why I do what I do. My answer to that one was quick and honest. I like to help people. When I first read the book, Dianetics, my first thought wasn’t, “oh, I need this technology delivered to me right away”. No, my first thought was, “Gee, people need this delivered to them so they can be more able in life”. It was then and there that I decided I wanted to be this person that L. Ron Hubbard described in the book, Dianetics whom he called an auditor, or “one who listens and computes”. I was 16 years old at the time. No one had explained anything to me about Dianetics or tried to give me their opinion. I just read the book by myself, at night, at study hall during school or any chance I got. It made sense to me and explained to me a lot of things. Perhaps it’s why I didn’t immediately feel I needed it delivered to me right away because it gave me a sense of calm from now understanding more about myself and why I was the way I was. So I decided others needed this information.

As I’ve said before in an earlier post, there wasn’t any Dianetics center near me or any Scientology Church close to me. I found a place 4 hours away from where I lived. I had to know more so I took the trek almost every weekend to learn more. It was my desire to help that led me to joining staff and eventually going from North Carolina to a larger church in Miami, Florida. I had to be an auditor.I did it, and the rest of that story is just history. However, this isn’t even the point of my post today.

In all this time of training in this technology, one thing was clear to me. A lot of people have trouble with the subject of help. Some look at help as an effort to harm. It’s sort of like that saying, “if it looks too good to be true, it probably is”. Sometimes this may be true, but not all the time or even as much as the media would like you to believe.

Now, through studying what I have studied, I understand why help became viewed the way it sometimes is and how that can be overcome in a short period of time. Help can be given and received if done correctly with the correct intention. Luckily, L. Ron Hubbard also did a lot of research on this subject and came up with some solid answers and techniques to assist a person to handle any problem he has with help, both giving and receiving. I used to find it amazing how hard it is to help some people, but now I know why.

So, there are reasons why some people have such a high desire to help others and why some people don’t. There is a reason why some people will receive help when offered and why some people won’t. The most frustrating thing for some people can be having a desire to help and trying to help someone that won’t receive it. I know I personally have inspected my life and those points most upsetting for me were the times I wanted to help and couldn’t.

I would love to now go back and grab each one of those people I couldn’t help before and really get them to a point where they would be willing to receive help. Maybe one day…

Dianetics Australia Official Website -

Dianetics Australia Official Website

Dianetics and Scientology are a big deal in Australia. In the 1950s there was an explosion of interest in L. Ron Hubbard's discoveries, particularly in English-speaking countries, and translations followed later.

Now, Dianetics is published in 50 languages, and with the new Dianetics book-on-film in 15 languages, and Dianetics and Scientology books in libraries all over the world, it's pretty intense.

It's amazing how simple it is, how easy it is to learn. And when you realize what you can do with it, it's awesome.

For example, did you ever have a love affair ended badly, leaving you completely distraught? It can totally ruin a person's life. Bad affair followed by rebound, that doesn't work, everybody loses.

But with a Dianetics session, as incredible as it sounds, an hour or two could be all it would take to pull out of it. Then you aren't carrying that around to every relationship from that time forward.

I'm sure you know someone who could use help with a loss, a death of parent or child or lover, or any other kind of sudden, overwhelming shock. Wouldn't it be incredible to be able to help that person over it?

A good, stable adult with love and tolerance in his heart is about the best therapy a child can have.~~~L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Scientology religion

Dainetics in Mexico--a New Era

Scientology opens new National Organization
for Mexico in the City of Palaces

Led by a 30-man mariachi orchestra and colorful traditional dancers, 7,000 Scientologists and guests hailed the grand opening of the new National Scientology Ideal Organization for Mexico in the heart of Mexico City. Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, officiated the historic occasion.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of a full-scale reconstruction and design of Mexico City’s Juarez Building. Directly adjacent to Mexico’s Fine Arts Palace and neighboring the N

ational Supreme Court, the National Bank and the National Palace, it stands as a six-story contemporary cultural landmark. Fully configured to be a physical embodiment of the religion, the building includes an extensive Public Information Center with 17 multimedia displays that presents and illustrates Scientology beliefs, the life of its Founder, L. Ron Hubbard, and the full array of its many social betterment and community outreach programs. In full, these displays provide a concise but panoramic view of the religion to visitors, students and others desiring to learn more about Scientology.

Dianetics

The Scientology Newsroom describes Dianetics in these terms:

Dianetics is a spiritual healing technology that can help alleviate unwanted sensations and emotions, irrational fears and psychosomatic illnesses (illness caused or aggravated by mental stress).

Dianetics is derived from the Greek words dia, meaning through, and nous, mind or soul. The full definition of Dianetics is what the mind (or soul) is doing to the body.

L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health was published May 9, 1950. It has appeared on 600 bestseller lists and is now translated in 50 languages with 22 million copies sold.

Before Dianetics, prevailing scientific thought held that Man's mind was his brain, nothing more than a collection of cells and neurons. IQ and personality were considered fixed and unchanging. With Dianetics, IQ and personality could be improved. Its effectiveness has been documented in a multitude of case histories over more than half a century of application.

Dianetics in the 21st Century

In June 2009, Mr. David Miscavige announced the single most momentous advance in Dianetics technology since the day of its original publication on May 9, 1950.

It was a project personally overseen by Mr. Miscavige for the better part of four years and culminating in the release of materials that would make Dianetics universally accessible.

The goal: to provide every group, Mission and Scientology Church with the ability to deliver Dianetics counseling as L. Ron Hubbard originally intended.

Central to the advance was an audiovisual release that propels the subject and study of Dianetics into the 21st century. Specifically, there are now 32 new films in 15 languages—a total of four and a half hours of visual instruction in the principles and procedures of Dianetics.

As Mr. Miscavige announced to an international audience of Scientologists, “These films are not about Dianetics. Rather, they are films of Dianetics.” To that end, benefiting from the advancements of this visual communications age and computer-generated special effects, the films provide an unprecedented level of comprehension to the viewer.

Like Book One itself (so named as it was the first major work on the subject), the films begin in simplicity and develop into broader application. To ensure full understanding, every facet of Dianetics counseling, called auditing, is described and depicted in several ways, then reintroduced again and again through subsequent films.

The DVD package consists of two discs: The first, How to Use Dianetics, comprises 14 chapters. It opens with the basics and, step by step, presents every concept needed to begin Dianetics therapy.

Once an individual is auditing, Disc Two, Aspects of Auditing, comes into play. Each of its 18 chapters (3 hours total) is a self-contained film expanding upon a single aspect of Dianetics and providing total comprehension relative to auditing.

This tour de force presentation delivers a mastery of Book One never before possible.

Dianetics Seminars

Scientology Churches and Missions deliver Dianetics seminars every week. The kinds of personal change and improvement people feel by the end of the weekend is astounding. If you have read the book, even if it was a long time ago, even if you only read a couple chapters, going to a Scientology org (organization -- i.e. Church) and devoting a full weekend to you, you will go back to work or school Monday with a new perspective, more energetic, more optimistic, and having some fundamental understanding of things that had you confused before--especially about yourself.

The history of Scientology

An interesting article on Helium on Scientology and Dianetics:

by Charles Ray

Scientology, which means the "study of knowledge and truth," is a religion founded in the 1950s by the noted science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.

Hubbard, born March 13, 1911, in Tilden, Nebraska, traveled widely as a youth, including several trips to Asia. His observation of misery and poverty, especially during his Asia visits, caused him to question the very nature of man.

During the 30s and 40s, he wrote extensively on the subject, but it wasn't until May 1950 that he published Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, which formed the basis for Scientology. Hubbard defined Dianetics as "what the soul is doing to the body." He promoted it as a methodology to help alleviated unwanted emotions, irrational fears, and psychosomatic illness.

Although the initial press run of Dianetics was only 6,000 copies, it became an instant sensation and, to date, has sold over 21 million copies.

Scientology has gained many converts in just over half a century (estimates range from 100 thousand to 10 million adherents worldwide), but it remains one of the most controversial of the 'new' religions. Some of the controversy has been fueled by public actions and statements by high-profile celebrities like Tom Cruise, who are Scientologists.

Scientology holds that man is basically good, but it's their experiences that cause people to do evil. People who think only of their own interests, and ignore how their acts affect others, create interpersonal strife. Individuals achieve enlightenment, according to the basic tenets of the religion, by preserving their spiritual integrity and values, and remaining honest and decent.

While many religions try to solve people's problems for them, Scientology believes in elevating the individual to improve his or her own life. In doing so, the Scientologist naturally reaches out to others.

According to Hubbard's philosophy, the individual is not a body but a spirit. Hubbard called this spirit or soul 'thetan,' from the Greek letter theta, a traditional symbol for thought and life. The thetan, Hubbard maintained, was the person himself, not his name or title - that which is aware of being aware.

The main religious practice of Scientology is a form of spiritual counseling called 'auditing.' It is a precisely codified set of questions used to help the individual become more self aware and thus improve his own condition. The goal of Scientology is to make the individual more spiritually aware and in touch with his thetan, and less dependent on the material universe.

I was talking to a friend yesterday. He just went Clear. It was utterly inspiring! That is what Scientology is all about. He had just been to Flag after hearing David Miscavige cover a program being done there at a recent event.

Dianetics Seminar at New Scientology Church in Los Angeles

Last June when David Miscavige released the new Dianetics DVD and Dianetics Seminar aboard the Freewinds I'm sure he had the Los Angeles Org in mind. The Dianetics Seminar room there is perfect. And the results coming from the service are what you would expect of this miracle technology.

If you know someone who is hung up in the loss of a relationship, the death of a loved one, suffering from psychosomatic illness, someone who broods, is anxious, easily annoyed, prone to road rage, invite them to come to the Dianetics seminar at the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles--make their lives a bit (or a lot) easier (and yours as well)!

Grand Opening of the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles

What an incredible event--the Grand Opening of the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles. The speeches were incredible and it was especially a treat to see David Miscavige. His speech was so inspirational.

It is the most beautiful and well designed Scientology church I've even seen outside of the Flag Service Org in Clearwater.

Everything has been anticipated, for the best possible service to the public, both Scientologists and non-Scientologists. The course rooms, seminar rooms, film rooms, multi media displays--everything!

If you can make it, go and tour the church.

Dianetics the Evolution of a Science

One of the best books on Dianetics is Dianetics: the Evolution of a Science, by L. Ron Hubbard. Here's a quote that shows a lot about the philosophy of Dianetics:

"This is the story of how Dianetics was bu8ild. This, at least, was the approach made to the problem. Dianetics works, which is what an engineer asks, and it works all the time, which is what nature demands of an engineer."

Dianetics: the Originial Thesis

Did you know that Dianetics (Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health) was not the first book L. Ron Hubbard wrote on the subject? In 1948 he actually wrote Dianetics: The Original Thesis. This was a hand-typed manuscript he sent out to some of his friends and they copied it and sent it out and they copies it and sent it out, and by the time this was done people from all over the world were demanding more information on Dianetics. So much so that Ron decided to write a handbook on the subject.

You can find out more of the history of the subject on the Scientology web site, where you can watch a video of David Miscavige on the subject.

Golden Age of Knowledge

Following on from my post yesterday, I've been studying the LRH Basic Books and Lectures (the ones covered in the speech I mentioned given in June 2007 by David Miscavige).

Now I've been a Scientologist for a long time and I've studied books before, listened to lectures, done a fair bit of training. But first of all these editions of the books are special. If you love books like I do you will really appreciate the quality of the printing and binding. They are gorgeous. But then inside -- the typesetting -- perfect. And the event shows how each book was take back to the original records and any editorial changes or mistakes were eradicated. And when you read them you know it's true. What a delight to read. Plus the glossaries make reading these books so easy.

But the real win for me, if that weren't enough, is the lectures. I am having tremendous gains from studying them. The amount of understanding I have now from reading and listening in chronological order I am telling you it is outrageous.

Check out the new Scientology web site--there is a lot of information there on Dianetics and Scientology books and lectures.

Dianetics and Scientology Books

In 2007 all the basic Dianetics and Scientology books and lectures of L. Ron Hubbard were re-published in beautiful new editions. It was discovered the material had been altered in many cases, and this has now all been put straight, and the books are easier to read than ever. The story of how this happened, how the books were corrected and excerpts from many of the lectures is all available online now on the new Scientology web site, which has several international Scientology events including the 2007 event where David Miscavage announces the Golden Age of Knowledge.

DIANETICS: UNDERSTANDING THE MIND

From Scientology.org

The Dianetics symbol uses the Greek letter delta as its basic form. The green stripes stand for growth, the yellow stripes are for life.

The four green stripes represent the four subdivisions of Man's urge to survive which are delineated in Dianetics.

Dianetics: dia (Greek) through, nous (Greek) mind or soul.

To understand exactly how Scientology is used, something should be known of the track of research L. Ron Hubbard traveled and the antecedent of Scientology—Dianetics.

Dianetics is a methodology which can help alleviate unwanted sensations and emotions, irrational fears and psychosomatic illnesses (illnesses caused or aggravated by mental stress).

It is most accurately described as what the soul is doing to the body through the mind.

Prior to 1950, prevailing scientific thought had concluded Man’s mind to be his brain, i.e., a collection of cells and neurons and nothing more. Not only was it considered that Man’s ability could not be improved, but it also was believed that with the formation of his cerebral cortex, his personality was likewise irrevocably established. These theories were, however, inaccurate and as a consequence science has never evolved a workable theory of the mind nor a means to resolve problems of the mind.

L. Ron Hubbard changed all that with Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. Its publication in 1950 marks a watershed in the history of Man’s quest for a true understanding of himself.

Like Scientology, Dianetics rests on basic principles, easily learned, clearly demonstrated as true and every bit as valid today as when they were first released in 1950.

In this portion of the website, you will become familiar with the basic concepts of Dianetics and how it works, the goal of Dianetics, and an understanding of the state of “Clear.”
